What to Expect

FROM YOUR FIRST SESSION

It’s completely normal to feel a little unsure before your first session — especially if you’re not used to putting yourself first or receiving support. This space is designed to feel gentle, human, and unhurried.

Here’s what you can expect when you come to Under the Cherry Tree for the first time:

a warm, calm Welcome

You’ll be welcomed into a quiet, private garden room where you can take a moment to arrive, settle in, and breathe. There’s no waiting room full of people, no rushing, and no pressure to “know what to say”.

A Gentle Conversation

We’ll begin with a relaxed conversation about what’s brought you here and what you’d like support with. You don’t need to have the right words. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable.

This is your space.

Moving at your own pace

There’s no set agenda. Your session will be shaped around what you need on the day. We might talk, breathe, reflect, use gentle mindfulness or body-based practices — or simply create space for you to rest and be heard.
You’re always in control. Everything offered is an invitation, never an expectation. You can say yes, no, or “not today” to anything at any point.

YOU COME FIRST

Feeling Safe & Supported

This work is trauma-informed, which means your safety, choice, and comfort come first. You’ll never be asked to share anything you’re not ready to share, and there’s no pressure to “go deep” before you feel ready.

Practical Support (where helpful)

If it feels supportive, your session may include gentle wellbeing guidance — such as simple grounding practices, nervous system support, or light-touch nutritional therapy suggestions to help you feel more nourished and steady in daily life. This is always offered gently and collaboratively.

What You‘ll leave with

Most women leave their first session feeling:

  • a little lighter
  • more grounded
  • more connected to themselves
  • and reassured hat they don’t have to do everything alone

There’s no expectation that one session will change everything. Think of this as the beginning of a gentler relationship with yourself.

After Your Session
You’re welcome to take time to notice how you feel afterwards. There’s no pressure to book anything further. If ongoing support feels right, we can explore gentle next steps together.
